We’re very excited – the first meeting of the club went smoothly! We had people come along from Sleaford, the surrounding villages, and even as far as Newark! What’s even more exciting for us is that we managed to get a few more members into the club – with growth comes great model railway layouts!
Layout updates
The baseboards were completed for the OO Gauge shunting puzzle and the track plan laid out; we even saw the cork being laid out for the trak to go down before the end of the night. Brilliant progress so far considering this is the first night.
The Cranwell branch in N was discussed and the original track plan was put down to show all of the original landmarks and features. Hopefully, a plan for the model railway will come from this shortly.
Colin’s N Gauge layout “Badcharo” was brought along for some work to be done. Some members even got to “play trains” once some of the fettling was out of the way.
The TT layout was discussed and we’re hopeful to get a team together to work on this soon.
