Counting down to Sleaford’s newest model railway club!

One more day. Just one more day until we officially become Sleaford’s newest model railway club and we open our doors to new members. It’s mad to think that only a few months ago this all started because Eddie and Shaun wanted to build a layout in a shed, and the more people we spoke to about it, the more people that wanted to join in. We soo realised that the shed wasn’t going to be big enough so we needed to do this properly and find a bigger venue.

So here we are, the night before and we’re really excited. Honestly, we have no idea at the moment if the first day is going to be a success or not, but as long as we get some people in from Sleaford and the surrounding areas that have an interest in model railways, then that’s a win! We know that the first day is going to be a bit of a learning experience – we need to work out our storage situation, what layouts people want to build, and just generally getting to know everyone. All we know is that it’s going to be fun finding out.

As a reminder, from Firday 26th July we’ll be meeting at Cranwell Village Hall between 7pm and 10pm. It’s a mere 9 minutes away from the centre of Sleaford, so why not venture out and see what we’re all about.
